Mrs. Doris lives in London, UK. Her Alzheimer’s is quite advanced so she can’t really participate on any of the activities offered at the elderly club she goes to.
Her speech and perception are very deteriorated but she is still very active with her hands.
So I decided to design a collection of stimulating hand warmers.
She wasn’t able to say coherent sentences until she touched one of the hand warmers and happily said: “This feels so good!”. For many years, Mrs. Doris couldn’t express herself and there she was saying how good the hand warmer felt. This was very shocking but at the same time, extremely rewarding.
